So when are my girls going to lay and when will the roo mount them?I want chicks bad!:jumpy

How old are they now? Most chickens start laying by five or even six months. I wouldn't save any eggs for hatching, however, until the hens are at least ten months old and have been laying for a while. This would insure that the healthiest eggs are used for producing chicks.

They should lay in 4-6 months or longer (depends on the breed). The rooster will mount them when he matures and that depends on the rooster. I wouldn't worry though. You shouldn't use the eggs for hatching until the hens have been laying for a while. In the beginning the hens body is still getting used to laying eggs so don't be surprised if a soft shelled egg gets layed. I normally use the eggs for hatching after the hens have been laying for 3 months. That way I am sure to get healthy hatching eggs.

They are 4 months old this July they turned and the roo is the same way but not crowing :/ ill post some more pics just give me more time :caf

Ohh and they are sex links so,they are for egg prouduction and hardly go broody ;)
