When buying chicks do you prefer to...... (POLL)

Buy chicks at a day old or after several weeks, i have some chicks coming out of the incubator in a bit and plan n selling most of them but contemplating keeping them for a few weeks or selling them at a day old? Not sure ...

so i pose this question: When purchasing chicks, Whats your preference day old chicks or started chicks?

I voted for day olds... actually that's all i've ever done so it may not be a fair vote.

I tried to hatch once but only one out of five lived.Now I stick with buying them day old.

You know, at least I did when I actually had chickens

I mainly like to hatch my own. Makes sure I keep from bringing anything into my flock (disease or parasites). If I have to buy I like started so I can see traits and the sex to make sure I get what I want.

I like day old, if I have a broody hen, other wise point of lay

I hatch my own or buy any age from a trusted source (no auctions or swaps).
