Dear all

We have a hybrid Aylesbury mix x Cherry Valley female duck age 2 and a half months. She was hatched and raised by our broody bantam chicken with whom she still lives, although she sleeps alone.

Her biological parents live in the next run and they have always been able to see each other, so know of each others existence. We just wondered when it would be the best to transfer her to the duck run.

Thank you 😊

Is she one of the 3 in the last picture and is that her with the chickens?
You can try her with the females but she is too young to be with the drakes they will want to mate her and that should not happen until she is laying which is usually 4.5 month on in age. When introducing stay there to intervene if the girls start picking on the young female.

She is the duckling in the first picture and the duck with the chickens in the second picture. The last picture is her father (Honey) and 2 duck hens, one of whom is her mother.
