Thanks. That's Tizzy the Easter Egger about two years ago. She's mommy's favorite, but don't tell the other girls.

Awwwww thst's sweet !!! We have a blonde Americauna that's my favorite but I won't tell my BF because he picked her out. LOL I would love to get a couple of them next year. I think it would be cool to see what color eggs they have. But for now 14 baby chicks are enough. I'm a newbie, so still learning.

I have 2 hens that just hatched out chicks and they have been outside since day 3. Momma takes them out of their pen everyday and pretty much stays out all day then brings them back in late in the afternoon to be locked in. Fun to watch them scamper around out there.

oooowwwww thats a good idea with the pvc and wire. I have one dog crate like this one pictured and that what they are in inside. Thanks !!! :)
We have one of the larger ones and that is what they stay in all the time. The schnauzer wasn't very happy when I took her bed to let the chicks play in it! lol

I use the metal dog kennel with the floor slid out as well. I even have the branches the same way as mamaschnecke :) I plan on letting my chicks roam around the yard once they're big enough to move out, so I leave the door open and they come and go as they please. For the most part they stay right nearby, but the last night two nights one of my sebrights kept getting "lost" in the brush and my chihuahua had to ferret her out :) She makes me nervous about moving to the coop - she needs to come in at night...
