When can chicks go outside?

Hi my situation is a little different i have a broody with 2, 2-day-old-chicks, they're running around all over the place for a few mins then huddle back under momma (in a small house) im wondering when she will take them outside? The pop door is always open in the day..

my broodies bring their chicks outside when the chicks are 2 days old usually. Is the pop door raised of the ground (inside or outside), if it is the chicks probably wouldn't be able to get in/our

It is raised by about 5 inches with a board that has small thin pieces of wood nailed on, but she has been off the nest scratching around with them, but indoors - sometimes she goes into the run to stretch and comes straight back in.

try making them a ramp or some steps to get in and out from

The hen just went out and the chicks followed it was too cute, they coped very well with the stairs - almost jogging up the when they went back in after a minute or two! :D luckily its sunny so they dont get cold as easily!

She will take them outside when she thinks it is safe ,,,,,, make sure the waterier is safe for the chicks as it is easy to loose them ....
