When can chicks have their first treat?

How long is a good time to wait before giving them a little treat? Also what is a good treat that won't make them sick?

You can give them yogurt anytime. Its very good for them! I would mix some of their starter in with it or you'll have a big mess. You should also give them a mashed up hard boiled egg. If you get some chick grit, they can have mealworms, grasshoppers, peeled apples, strawberries etc. just no citrus.

After having some chick grit, my ten day old chicks had a great time with some worms from the yard. It was hilarious watching them go crazy over the treat.
