When can EE rooster fertile eggs

I was asked recently if I could sell one woman fertile easter egger eggs, I told her I have easter egger hens but my rooster is still a chick so she asked when can he fertile the eggs?

I don’t know my self, is it after he starts mating with the hens? Will he be fertileing the eggs right away then or? Or is it some certain age? .

He’s 3 month old now

First he’ll have to get the hang of getting onto the hens and mating them. Even when he does start getting on, he’s fertility will be quite low. He will start mating them at about 4 months old and he’ll start producing sperm between 4-5 months old (most likely 5, maybe even 5 1/2.

I usually guesstimate that by 6 mo, roosters will be mature and fertile.

okey thanks, I will tell the woman that then that she has to what 3 more months for him to be fertile and then she can have eggs if she wants to wait
