When can I add a Peachick to ...

The other young Peachicks?
I have 6 Peachicks ranging from June and July hatch dates to a 7th hatch in August... The older ones are all together but Andi, the month old, is alone... When can I put him/her in with the others? He's about half their size and only a month old but I don't want him to be alone.... What do yall advise?

Make a cage inside of the others pen and let them get used to him, then supervised mingling for a while. They will have to establish the pecking order, it's just the way they are. The more space they have the more area the young ones have to escape and hide. It's kind of funny to watch the little ones zip around under the legs of the bigger ones while getting away from the medium size ones who are chasing them.

Was thinking that's what I'd need to do...
As it is now, the older Peachicks are in a cage within the peafowl pen themselves... So that's also why I'm unsure how to intro the newest one...

Another question... 2 of my India blue Peachicks are getting blue neck feathers... Is that a sign they are male??? They are July babies...

I noticed ...
I have free range peacocks and during the breeding season some are enclosed.Free peacocks know a locked peacocks ... they meet each other every day ... these are not strangers!
If I freed a peacock that was locked (male or female) he or she is attacked by the group or he attacks the group!

Dang, do they get along at all or do the always pick on them?
I also have free range peacocks that I am going to have to pen up ( due to one neighbor complaining) and in all reality I only have the one pea pen to put them in.... So will they all fight???
