when can I introduce my quails to each other?

I have 3 almost adults in one cage (2 males/1 female) and I have another cage with 3 41/2 weeks chicks (2 female/1male). Eventually I would like to have them all in one cage. I have them where they can see each other right now and as far as I can tell they just mainly ignore each other, lol.

I think they are just supposed to be in pairs. Atleast for button quail but I don't know what kind of quail you have?

I have 3 coturnix, 2 Tibetan, and a tuxedo.

Hi, I don't know how old this thread is but I found it because I have a similar problem, but with Coturnix you really ought to get the ratios to something like 1 male per 3-5 females. More males to females will lead to fighting and even with one male with too few females you'll find the hens get worn out by too much love. As they're young they'll be ok for the moment but you'll find trouble when they get into breeding condition. If this is from ages ago, how did you go about introducing them? Thanks
