So we planned 50 broilers, then added 17 new layers (same day, same age). At one week, we've already separated those - 67 in the brooder meant a LOT of chicken poop. We have a tractor for the broilers and a smaller brooder.
We'll, low and behold, two of my previous layers are broody. We thought it was a fluke - they've been on and off nests (getting our hopes up for weeks). But we found a baby two days ago! Moved Momma to a dog crate inside the coop. Hate to keep her locked up, but will the other ladies or two roos bother them? Plus, what happens when Broody #2 hatches her own? I only have 1 dog crate!

We are absolutely overrun with chickens - not complaining! Just in over my head!

The momma hen will beat up anyone who goes near her baby. Just make sure that the other chickens remember who she is and don't treat her like a new chicken now.

My broody hens share their babies, but I'm not sure if that is the case for everyone.
