When can I remove Chicks from Momma??

We just let our broody hatch three chicks, which we do not plan to keep. When is a good time to separate the chicks from the momma hen? Thanks!

Mine was about week momma got to nasty toward people so we booted her out again.

I usually wait 4-8 weeks; she's usually done mothering them by then. If you really want to sell them, consider leaving her just one as a reward for her hard work.

you can take them at day 1 if you have a brooder... i booted mama out today cause her poo stinks to bad to keep inside and I dont have a place she could be safe out side with them so out she went alone and baby chicks will stay inside till they are all feathered out.
