When can i start feeding my chicks treats?

I give my chicks finely ground cracked corn right in the brooder. I call it "chicken candy", they love it! I also make sure they have grit so they can digest it. I don't normally add other stuff until they are a bit older. Others give yogurt and other soft foods real young. Especially scrambled or hard boiled egg. I haven't tried that.

I've been feeding my chicks treats since about week 2-3. Mainly finely chopped broccoli, carrots grass, etc (pureed in a food processor) with grit on the side. They love it and love me now too!

I figure they eat grass when I put them outside on warm days so how can this hurt.

I will add that they eat at least 90%+ feed as that's where nutrition comes from. That's why they're called treats

Don't get in a hurry to feed treats, just because they call them treats doesn't mean you can feed them at such an early age. Hold off till they are least 6-7 weeks they need their correct feed, their not puppies.
