when can i start feeding my hens laying mesh?

i was told if i feed them laying mesh to soon that it would mess up their egg laying ability . it would ruin there reproductive organs. could i get some advice please.

I start as soon as I get my first egg. If I have any other feed left over I mix it in. I have had no problems.
