When can I take chicks outside for fun

We have one week old chicks, is taking them outside to run around the grass for just a few minutes in warm temp a bad idea?

Should be fine as long as you have an enclosure they can't get out of, so you're not having to chase down escapees.

no, they'll love it! but they won't have enough energy or heat for hours out there, so keep an eye out for them slowing down or shivering. Using some sort of temporary enclosure would be wise.
