When can meatie chicks go without heat lamp?

At what age do you generally stop giving your meatie chicks supplemental heat? Night time lows around here are usually the mid to low fifties.

How old are the chicks?? Have they begun to feather out?

They're only a week old now. Just little feathers on the wings and tail. Not close to ready yet. I don't remember when the last batch feathered out enough to go without the lamp.

My 2 week meat birds have smaller heat lamp nights only. 3 weeks is my no light time assuming moderate climate We 80 days and 55-60 nights. Most folks go longer than I do. Smaller heat lamps are found at fish and snake/lizard stores.
