when can my babies swim?

Ok, I will definately try the squished peas. Is it ok to give them that at their age? (only 4-5 days old) I was afraid if they couldn't touch they would be scared. Tomorrow I will try with the water a little deeper and a little warmer. Thanks for the help. I have more to learn than them apparently. LOL

Pekins don't fly . They flap around a lot and try lol but they are flightless ducks .
My girls will be 4 weeks on Monday ;) and every day or every hour I swear they change so much from the last time I saw them so they could be feathered by next week or it could still take a few weeks who knows . Pekins grow at an amazing rate it's so fun tho ;)

I am new here, and have had four babies (2 Pekins and 2 Khaki Cambells) for two weeks now and I swear my Pekins have tripled in size!

Bath time is my favorite time...that and treat (watermelon) time... They come running to me instead of away lol.

I love it when they swim underwater. I never knew that ducks could swim underwater. One of my girls loves it. I didn't know that my Pekins would not be able to fly. We have Mallards - won't they be able to learn to fly from them or are their wings too small?

It sounds like you have a lovely life with your family and feathered/furry animals!

Pekin s are too heavy to fly. they may try but they won't be able to get far.

My ducks (1 khaki campbell and 2 pekins) are almost 2 weeks old and love to swim already! I only put a shallow dish out there but they loved it!
