When can my silkies go outside

Hi my silkies just turned 5 weeks old yesterday. I am aware they are not ready to go outside yet but does anybody know when silkies are typically able to?? The weather here hasent been getting anywhere below 55 degrees. I am more used to raising ducks and they grew up so much faster

I brood my chicks in the coop. My last batch was outside at 4weeks old. My current batch is 2 days old and in the coop but can see outside through the door.

I have 2 week-olds that are outside, but I also wean my chicks off heat very early. Whether they are ready to go outside or not all depends on your brooder temperature and the outdoor temperature.

They are ready to be outside. Lock them up each night and they will be fine.

I'd say they could go out now. Just give them heat at night if you have been keeping them with heat in the brooder.

That’s great to know I think I will bring mine outside next week because we still have some other chickens in our coop and they are still very small
