Chickies are two and a half weeks old right now. Temps here are 90-100 daytime and 70-75 nights. Is that warm enough they can just go outside next week without any accommodations? Temp in the bedroom where they are right now stays close to either side of 80.

I don't know if they are close to fully feathered, never had chickens before. They have beautiful wings, but their necks look funny. There are 8 of them. I took their heating pad cave out, because they were ignoring it.

mine go right into the coop from day 1, it doesn't matter the time of year, you just need to provide heat, tapering off according to the temps.

even just providing a carboard box that they can huddle in at night can do the trick. watching their behavior is one of the keys, IMHO. It seems that 5-6 weeks is enough for them to handle just about anything a summer night temps can throw at them. you can go even earlier with a wooley hen box. some folks have learned how to go without electricity from day one, I'm still learning.
