When can they go outside with mama hen?

I have five peeps that are a week old. They're in the brooder in the garage with mama hen. It's gorgeous weather out and I can't wait to see the little ones out in the grass. Pretty sure mama is dying to get out too. How long until they're less susceptible to coccidia? They're not vaccinated, and eating non-medicated feed.

And what else do I need to be aware of before letting them outside? It would be short trips with my supervision.

I don’t know about being non vaccinated but at their age they should be Good to go out with mama You can add apple cider vinegar and garlic to their water to boost their immune system and fight any bacteria

was she a broody hen? my broody hens have their chicks outside from day 1, they can keep them warm. unless its like below freezing

They can go outside as soon as she is ready to take them there. You will have to watch for coccidiosis whether you let them out now or later.
