when can they have table scraps?

so, when are my chicks old enough for table scraps? Right now the dog and cats are getting fat, and all these veggie peelings are going in the trash! I have 5 week old chicks (all kinds! lol) and they are feathered out and on to grower feed crumbles right now.

I started giving mine things (like strawberries and grass) on day 2. At first they will be skeptical, but once they realize its edible, they love it. Soon, they come to expect it, and now mine come running to me from the back field whenever I call. Its really cute to see a dozen chickens running to you like they are happy to see you!
If I have anything in my hands at all, they won't leave me alone.
