The inside (as in everything) in moving about and seems kind of sloshy
is this a sign that the embryo has died?

How day are they on? In the early stages you should see veins by day 7-10 and you will see the little creature move around and the yolk will still be a little sloshy

It depends on the day if u see blood vessels, the chick moving around a little bit and the air sac becoming larger than everything is fine, even if u don't see the chick moving its totally fine, what matters is that the veins are very visible, if the chick died the veins start disappearing, it will look abnormal you will notice a large black spot and it will float while u move the egg. Can u send pictures?

Thank you for your reply, I don’t have any photos But I waited a few days and then cracked it open, it was definitely dead, probably died 5-6 days previous
