When did Golden Cuckoo Marans become available in the United States?

The direction this thread went really bums me out.

I was curious about genetic origins, not personal political beliefs.

What?
I was just talking about my two chickens.... I even posted their pics!

I got mine from a breeder in TX. Hatched them out myself. She still sells hatching eggs if your are interested, you can PM me.

thats who i got mine from too! I couldnt remember her name...and also nvtip (sp?) has them also..

i first heard of them four or five years ago. i think they are from crossing cuckoo on copper blacks, then back to cuckoo to set the barring and keep the copper coloring on the hackles, So... they have probably been around as long as people have been crossing colors, or deades probably.

Oh, I just got 13 FBCM eggs from her today

I am having a staggard hatch already because I have 12 blue marans from peachick and some ameracaunas from Happychick already due on the 9th in the bator too. Maybe in a week or so I will get some more eggs. This is getting to be addicting....
