When did your EE's start laying?

Here's another picture of her (IT BETTER be a "her").

She's a fine looking hen!

Questions:
How many eggs do you get out of her at 7 years?
How many eggs did she lay in her prime?

Why thank you very much! I love her!
She varies a lot in her egg laying. Some weeks I get 4 or 5 still. Sometimes she'll take several days off. In her younger years, I probably got 5-7 eggs. For the past few years, when she molts in Oct, I do not get an egg from her again till Feb. Once it was early March, and I really wondered if she was still going to lay. These past couple months, she's been laying pretty well again!

Yikes I have one that looks just like that. Please don't tell me she is a he! She is just over 19 weeks.

She has always looked different than the others but we just assumed she would catch up. She is the only one that still has a droopy tail. (what does that mean?)

She kind of marches to her own drummer. Not at all aggressive she just seem to fly under the wire. She doesn't bother the others and they don't bother her.

Don't worry, I have LOTS that look like that, and they are ALL girls. The EE hens tend to have curved tail feathers more than other breeds, so they can be tricky to tell.

I don't see any pictures of roos on this thread!!!

Now for the OP's question; my first hen started at 17.5 weeks, and the rest have been following quickly. They are now 21 weeks (or so), and 8 of 9 are laying. The 9th has a severe crooked beak, so she may never lay.

wefrf I have a hen that looks like yours

I was wondering how many different colors of eggs they can lay?
I was hoping for blue but then I read some can lay a pink or yellowish egg.
Does anybody have pictures of the crazy colored eggs that would be cool!

I have 2 "araucanas" that are 2 months old now. One is definitely a rooster. His comb is thicker, he's got a larger head, his wings are...bulkier? and he's even starting to get longer tail feathers. Oh, and he started crowing this week. I'd think you'd know if it were a male by now because he'd be different from the rest.
