17 weeks (still no eggs) but she squatted today!! Right now it's a race between my golden comet and my white leghorn who's gonna lay first. Maybe by the end of August, I can post about my first egg. 😄
Edit to say the end of August, I don't mean by tonight lol

I haven't weighed it, I don't have a kitchen scale. Although I may get one just to weigh eggs!! It's smaller than store eggs, but I think it's not bad size for a first egg!
 
Small is good too. We have a BO whose eggs are the smallest of the bunch weighing consistently at 1.6 oz, perfect in size, color, shell and extremely consistent layer every day. Yolks are large considering the small size of the eggs. The important thing is healthy fresh eggs.
Your girls eggs may change in shape, size, color and texture until her production cycle irons itself out with being a new layer.
Weighing is not important but I do it so I can know what is typical and can identify if something is wrong should the texture or size dramatically change.
