When did your silkies start laying?

I have three that are about 28 weeks and I can't tell if they are boys or girls. The lady that sold them to me said she will trade out any fellas. I already have a splash roo. Hopefully, at least one of the little buggers will give me eggs. When should I start expecting them? From what I've read they can take a while.

Yesterday I got my first Silkie egg!

So about 22 weeks. But from what I have been reading that is kinda early?

I hope you get eggs soon!!

My silkies are 30 weeks old and still no eggs. All of my other birds started between six and eight weeks ago.

My silkie was born on July 1, no eggs yet!!!!!!!!!!! 19 weeks

I have 2 that are 33 weeks and no eggs, my husband says maybe I need to go and show them how it is done.

Finally!!!! I just got the first egg Thursday

It took 24 weeks for mine to start laying.
