When do buff orpington's start laying?

My buff orpington's are 22 weeks old. When should I expect them to start laying eggs?

It all depends on the individual bird. Most will lay by 6 months. I had one buff that didn't lay until she was 11 months.

Usually, they will start to lay sometime around 20 to 30 weeks. Orpingtons can be slow to mature, and with shortening days, they can take even longer to start.
