My girls are only 18 weeks and just getting the redder combs. They don't seem at all interested in the nest boxes or the fake eggs in them. When should I start expecting something? I think I'm turning into a stalker.

Could be another month. Mine are a little older, about 20 weeks with similar signs. Most cochins mature and lay later than other breeds. I do have one that's squattin' so it shouldn't be long for her.

Not to get off topic, but I just looked at your BYC page and saw your gorgeous cochins! Do you mind me asking where you found them? Do you have any recent pics? I think I'm in love!

Are you talken' to me? I got my girls from Baregretchen at the north east BYC chickenstock. I need to take some more recent pics because they are lookers. here is the only recent shot I have.

The other just started laying and she is 23+weeks old. They are both bantams.
