When do columbians show neck color?

I was wondering how early you could tell if a chick or pullet/cockerel had columbian color. If it is buff and has black feathers in the tail, how likely is it that it will get black hackles if it is of unknown heritage?

I may not have your answer, but I'll tell you what I found with the 2 Columbian Wyandottes I have. Neither started showing any neck fether changes until about 6 weeks old. One's feathers turned faster than the other. One is a rooster and one is a hen. I think the hen showed the feathering before the rooster. Both are looking great now.
