When do ducks start laying?

Hi everyone- i have been reading your info for the last few months but have finally joined and have a question.. I adopted my daughter's classroom ducks at 4 weeks old and now have 6 beauties living with us happily enjoying the yard a pond and a converted chicken house at night. They are now 3 months old and I am wondering about the egg laying timing. I hadn't plan to eat any or increase my group but wanted to have a heads up as to what to expect. I have 2 Welsh Harlequin, 1 Black Swedish and 3 Rouen- so far- it appears that 2 are drakes but... i am new to this..

expect eggs somewhere around 6 months...good luck

5-6 months both mine turned out to be drakes

Do they lay anywhere? In the place they sleep- hang out during the day?? I don't have any special place in their hutch... it is just one rectangle space all on one level
