When do Easter Eggers start laying?

Got my first egg yesterday from one of my EEs. They are 5 months 23 days.

I have two EE that were hatched in late June. One began laying at 24 weeks of age, and the other at 30 weeks of age. I thought the 2nd one would never produce eggs, but apparently there's a lot of variability in start of lay with EE, as they are mixed-breed birds.

I have 8 EEs that are almost 19 weeks old. They appear no where near ready to lay. Still light baby pink combs. I am looking forward to getting their eggs though!! I love seeing all the different varieties of colors from every ones EEs!! I can't wait to see what we might get.

I have one that just started laying, pretty little eggs.. yes little. They are tiny! im used to duck eggs but even still these seem itsy bitsy. my other girl should start laying any day and my RIR is only about a week away in age.

Thought I would follow up and let everyone know when our first egg came. We got our first EE egg today. The hens are 25+ weeks. I shared pics on the Easter Egger Club thread but will post them here too. We noticed the combs growing and getting redder about 2-3 weeks ago. Then in the last 1-2 weeks we noticed squatting and interest in the nesting boxes. It was super exciting watching all the signs come together and see our first egg!

I have the brown egg in the picture for size and color comparisons. Super hard taking an accurate pic of a blue egg. The color really doesn't show up in the photos. These were the best I could do.

Beautiful!! Congratulations!! Sounds like my experience. My girls were over 25 weeks old. Thier combs were red for almost two whole months!!!!! Took forever but I now have a blue and green egg layer. Excited for you! I love seeing color in the nest boxes :)
