Hey y’all! I have an EE pullet that is now around 19 weeks old. At how many weeks do they usually start laying? And she is still tiny! I can’t ever imagine her popping out an egg at that small! But I don’t know, maybe she will surprise us!

Of my four, I had one over achiever that laid at 18 weeks, but the rest were 20-24 weeks.

Depends on the individual hen and the genetics involved. I've had one lay at 17 weeks and another who was 6 months old when she laid. The early layer was a cross between a cream legbar and something else (I suspect Rhode island red or one of their hybrids) and the late layer was an ameraucana mix. My current pullets are 18 weeks old and no eggs so far. I don't mind though, the silver lining to waiting longer is the late bloomers often lay later into their lives and are less likely to run into reproductive issues than early layers. So stay excitedly patient with them :D

Ok thanks Everyone!
I am actually not sure her full breed, but I know that her dad is an EE. I’ll put a picture below. I am guessing EE mixed with brown amaraucana? Anyone think the same?

She looks almost exactly like our Easter egger. Same warm brown coloring with gray tail. Mine is 20 weeks and no eggs yet. Fingers crossed we get some soon!
Funny! She is about 20 weeks too! And today she started squatting whenever I put my hand above her! I am pretty sure that is a sign that she will start laying soon! Right?
