When do geese lay eggs

I have 6 5 months old geese. Everyone I asked had a different answer. So... when the heck do geese start laying?

"normally" the next spring after they were hatched. So 2013 goslings will normally breed and lay spring of 2014. SOME breeds lay more than others, some birds start earlier or later than the norm.

How about ganders? At what age do they start to reliably fertilize eggs?

Depends on the breed and individual birds. Some have high fertility some dont.

Breeding should be seen the spring after they are hatched. So 2013 birds should breed spring 2014. Where you live also effects when it starts.
