We have been finding larger than normal eggs in the chicken coup. I just figured we have one healthy mudder of a chicken. Our chicken coup is currently shared at night with two of our young geese. Well much to our surprise we find our baby goose JoLee sitting a nest. She's been laying eggs for a week or so I guess. Who'd figured. From what I read this shouldn't be her season which I think is spring-early summer. I guess she's about 6 months old. She's must be one healthy lil goose or she's clearly confused. lol. What's your thoughts?

This happened to me as well! This is my first time keeping Geese and from all I've read I didn't expect any eggs until next year. But just a few weeks ago we found her hiding in a corner away from the flock and after checking back later found the nest she had made followed by an egg the next day. She's been laying every other day since then. We didn't even know we had a girl until she started popping out eggs, and so early too!
