I want to have my Salmon Faverolle raise a new chick, but she has never gone broody, she just turned 1 but I want to know if she has to be older to go broody. Just wondering

you dont need fertile eggs for her to go broody, you just need eggs for her to sit on. they only need to be fertile if you are trying to hatch her eggs.. you can buy fertile eggs or slip a chick under her after its broody in some cases.You have to have a rooster to fertilize her eggs.![]()
