When do hens molt?

I've always heard hens molt in the fall but one of my hens isn't laying eggs and I'm seeing a lot of her smaller feathers laying around in their feeder, and the rest of their coop, she is only about 1 1/2 yrs old so she should stop laying. And she looks healthy and happy so the only thing I can think of is molting? Any ideas??

Hello, it does sound like moulting, my hens have all just come in to moult and it is Autum (fall) where i live

and hen do stop for a short time when moulting then soon come back in lay (generally after winter but hopefully before) and 1 1/2 years is a perfectly normal age to stop,

Ok thanks it is spring here, and I think she is molting but I'm not sure because she hasn't layed in about a month and a half
