I take supplemental light out at about 6 weeks.

I kept food and water for the chicks 100% of the time. Recent flock has stopped eating at night at 5 weeks of age. They have the option to eat, but just like the grown-ups, they go and roost and get ready for bed and are not so interested in food at dusk.
