I've got 6 Khaki Campbells...one I thought for sure was a boy...he had a white ring around his neck, but now that he's got most of his feathers, the ring is gone...just 2 little white spots. Just thinking the likelihood of 6 females from the same hatch is very small.

I think the average time is 12 weeks, but my Khaki drake didn't get his curly feathers until 14 weeks. You should be able to tell before then though, if it's not quacking, then it's a drake.

Thanks, it's hard to tell right now who's doing the quacking and who's not. I did forget to mention that they are 6 weeks old. Has anyone else had the white ring disappear?

I was also reading that the drakes have green bills? Has that seemed to be the case with anyone here?

Yes, the drakes have a greenish colored bill.

Try watching the color of his head, my drake's head started to darken and turn green before he got his drake feather.

The one that I suspect is a male is crested. Will the feathers on his crest change color too? Thanks for the input!

Color of their bills do not determine sex. I have 3 Khaki Campbells, 2 drakes and 1 hen. The hen and 1 Drake has a green bill. The other Drake has a black bill.

My Wanda I thought for sure was a boy. She’s 17 weeks. No curly feathers and her white spot has remained. Today however she was trying to mate with Maryanne. Made me think maybe she is a boy but she quacks and does everything female. Lol. I guess female ducks can get excited about each other too … it just threw me for a minute. Lol!
