when do quails start to lay

yesterday morning 21 of july I went down to my quails and found 8 eggs we have 4 female quails that we hatched ourselves in april but I was supprised to find them all to have layed the same day I assumed that I hadn't noticed them the day before but when I went in to show my parents the said that id gone down to the local butchers and brought them

I haven't but it seems weird that they all must have started laying on the same day and all had hard shells as I don't put oister shell in their food until they start laying id say they are around fifteen months and were bullied by the males which are now in a different run please tell me if it Is normal for them to be laying this age or if someone is playing a practical joke

im assuming they are laying now as I've collected two eggs today
