My coturnix quails are in the second year and they are great. I am just wondering for how long can they lay eggs and after they stop what to do with them?
Well the oldest ive personally kept egg laying quail are about two years old. I definitely get the most eggs in their first year, but they seem to lay fairly well in the second year. They lay less in the second year if i keep them laying over the winter...the seem to burn out. After they stop laying, i eat them. Well, technically the older ones usually go to the dogs. I feed my dogs a homemade diet, and they love older quail
