When do roosters start crowing?

my silkie roo started to crow at about 14 weeks... it sounded like he swallowed a kazoo

I had one crowing at 6 weeks (ee), the next at 10 weeks (silkie), and the others around 3 months. My RIR roo is 3.5 months and still not crowing

Finally, got the picture up. My 2 RIR...what do you think? Do I have a Roo? Has not crowed at all and is 17 weeks.

Well, I'm no expert but it looks to me like the one in the middle is a roo.

I was wondering when they would start crowing also, I have a Ameraucana rooster(kinda has colors like a female chinese pheasant). He is about 18 weeks and hasn't shown any sign of wanting to crow.

Is 'he' the only one? I've read in a few posts that if he is, it may take a bit longer. Mine started crowing at 8-9 weeks, but there were three of them, lots of strutting and proving themselves.

Yeah, I only have one and he makes just a few little noises while out but sounds more like regular chicken sounds. I didn't know if it was maybe more breed specific in this case or not
