When do roosters start to crow?

My RIR rooster at 27 weeks still wasnt crowing. I just assumed he had nothing to complain about. Lol. Finally at 28 weeks he started crowing. I was so happy! Felt like a proud momma.

I am going to try to post some pix of my chickens...Samoa (Buff Orpington) is the one that I am not sure about. No egg and no crowing. About 28 weeks. Hopefully the pix will go through this time. I am assuming the rest are hens. Today we did get our first egg from one of our Bantam Cochins. Samoa is the one with the larger comb.

Cocky Locky started crowing at two weeks; he was/is extremely precocious. Latest Ive had was Daphne (renamed Daffid) who was about 9 months.
