when do standard cochin hens start to lay

I have 2 questions the first is when do standard cochin hens start to lay and the second is when do standard cochin roosters become fertile?????

I can only answer the first one, The answer to the first one is 18-22 weeks

Standard Cochin take a bit longer to mature to egg laying. Anywhere from 5-6 mos old... need to be patient. As far as Roosters.. I would probably say around the same. Although the boys always think they can take care of business early.. LOL

If they are exhibition quality, they may be 7-8 months before they lay. Hatchery stock will lay sooner in general.
