When do the shellless eggs stop?!?

I have been told that Shellless eggs are normal for new girls just learning to lay….

We have two hyline browns who have had no problem coming to lay. They regular eggs almost daily.

Our EE began laying late july and is still laying shellless eggs 2x a week.

Our OE began laying end of august and laid 5 eggs in a row and now she has laid 2-3 shellless eggs in the last week.

Neither have laid a solid egg in 5 days.

They all get the same laying food.

They all have access to crushed eggshell with crushed calcium tablets.

I dont know what else to do here…

How long does it take for new layers to work their kinks out? It’s so disappointing to see so many shellless eggs especially when they are so beautiful when their shells come out right!

I have read that it can take awhile. But that does seem a little excessive. Have you seen these two eating any of the calcium? What food do you have them on, and what are the protein and calcium percentages?

How many are laying shell-less eggs out of how many hens total? This is important because it sure sounds like a dietary issue and perhaps a vitamin D deficiency along with low calcium. How much natural sunlight do these chickens get per day?
