When do you suspect she will start laying?

Now, I realize it's a total 'crap shoot' so this is mostly for fun, partially for education since i'm relatively new to chicken keeping.

This is my Orp/Maran cross that the breeder missed in her culling process. She's much more developed than my other two Orps and is getting quite red in comparison.

She's 20-21 weeks. I haven't noticed any 'squatting' or excessive noise, but she has shown more interest in my older hens while they lay.. sometimes she'll sit in the coop and watch, then check out the eggs before I collect them...

Guesses??!! I'm going to say 28 weeks (and hope i'm wrong, lol!)

I would guess 26 to 29

I would think she would start laying soon! When you see that squatting thing, it is probably only a week more before you get an egg from her.

Thanks you two! She was standing next to my year-old Leghorn the other day, and her Waddles are about 2/3rds the size of the Leghorns now.. they get bigger and redder every day!! I still think she'll be about 4-6 weeks, but I hope she makes me wrong, lol.
