In the Brooder
Do they always lay early in the morning? Or does it vary? And do they always lay in their nest box or do you have ones that lay elsewhere?
Our RIR Red just laid her first egg yesterday and I found it early in the morning. Today's was later mid-morning. I know after reading that it takes about 26ish hours to create an egg so it'll be fun to see if she lays mostly in the mornings or if she'll be an afternoon layer. So fun learning more about these girls!! Never knew I'd be so excited and proud after getting these first two eggs. I almost feel like she needs a party in celebration!
