When does my roo become a man?

Is it accurate? I don't have a rooster lol. My friends also have a chick who is *questionable* but we're all praying for a hen, so knowing when they become roostery is helpful. No saddles yet, but very large red comb and wattles.

Short answer to thread title....Never.

Cockerels can begin sexual activity(mounting) as young as 10 weeks.
Males may never be good protectors or tenders...or may start early.
It all depends on the individual bird.
Time will tell.
