When will the noise start?
I am all at once up to my butt in peacocks...so when do they start making that noise??
mine are males and females anywhere from 1 to 4 years old.

I just got the shade cloth for my big flight pen today, putting it up this morning.

I'm in Kansas with 1 high percentage Spaulding male, 2 Purple IB hens and 2 Spaulding split to Purple juveniles(1 male, 1 hen, 6mos.) all free range and the calling has already started. I love the sound and never did understand why it bothers so many. Good luck.

My recently aquired male 3 or 4 years old. cannot wait for him to be screaming his thing.
turned them loose in the big flight pen today and the girls were loving it, puffing up their necks and honking like crazy!!

I am in West Virginia. My guys usually start to carry on about March.

Fortunately I do not live very near other people so they don't bother anyone except my dogs. The dogs have learned that the Peacocks screech when someone drives up, so they bark whenever they hear the birds. When the birds start calling frequently in March, it makes the dogs all confused.

Sometimes I wish mine were sesonal. They call everyday... we enjoy it for the most part though.

Up here, near Fargo, ND, ours call for only about 3 days in July. Then, winter starts again.

HaHA Jhm47! I grew up in Montana, which was cold enough, but North Dakota is even worse! I always figured that is why so many Russian immigrants settled there--felt like home in Siberia!

Isn't it amazing how well the Peas do in that cold climate?
