Title says it all LOL Found this mantis inside the house back by the screened-in backdoor. Needless to say I don't think this girl was very happy about a bunch of birds trying to get her through the screen. I've never seen one "flare" up like this and actully jump at a chicken's face before. One brave bug for sure!

(No chickens or mantis was hurt. Took her outfront away from the chickens after she tried to attack my face [IMG])

We found a Mantis outside and it wouuld puff up and hiss at us when we triied to present it with a bug for food. They are getting ready to die, this time of year, and are probably pretty unhappy about it...

I love it! When I was a kid, my dad noticed a mantis eating a small lizard in our yard and took a pic. I've got the pic and should scan it in!
