When Geese Attack!!!!!!

My thug geese started attacking our Great Pyrenees pair. At first the dogs tried to get away, which just made the thugs bolder. Eventually our female dog began fighting back. We removed the thugs because we saw a situation that looked to be escalating. One that did not fair well for the geese. Our female dog started getting weird with all the fowl until we removed the offending geese. You do not want your livestock guardian dogs having to protect themselves from their charges.

Our thugs did not have a nest anywhere as we collect all their eggs, but they are of course in breeding mode.

Haha! My Sebbies are still sweet, maybe a little hissier than normal. But the Toulouse have turned part Dragon! They attacked my Akita last week. She was on a down-stay while I was working in the outdoor brooder and I hear a huge commotion. The Toulouse had pack descended on her and was ripping all her hair out. Poor baby. She doesn't even have the brains to run from them! Now my big 100 pound dog wants to stay on the porch when the geese are free-ranging.

I am hoping I sexed my pair right when I picked up what I hope is 2 females so I can hoepfully avoid all of this, but I dont know how female pairs work either.

THUGS.....That is the perfect description. Mine are penned up for a while and they do not like it. It's funny to watch them try to find a spot in the fence to get out.
My garden area is on the other side of their pen and while I was getting some planting done today, the meaner of the 2 was trying to reach through the fence to bite me.

I sold my chinese geese and embden a few weeks ago for the same reason. Yes, they were laying but they waned control of the entire yard. They pinched us and the dogs, and even chased our car in the driveway! They were also leaving "fertilizer" all over the porches. If we could have kept them out of the yard I would have kept them but that wasn't possible. My kids had had it with them and me too frankly!
