I am getting ready to use the new incubator I inherited...it does not have a turner..so when hand turning the eggs [IMG]

Do I turn the egg all the way over? I was going to put a line on 1 side and an X on the other to make sure?

Do I need to turn them 2 or 3 times a day??

    Thanks [IMG] [IMG]

Turn them 3 times a day. Line side up then x side up.

I put an X on one side an O on the other. I turn from X to O or O to X three times a day. Sometime work family whatever gets in the way but I try for three. Also I move them around inside the incubator so if I have a hot or cold spot the same egg doesn't stay in that same spot.

I recently set more eggs than would fit in my turner, so I had three eggs along the edge that needed hand turning. I put an A, a B and a C around the egg. Then A up in the morning, B when I got home from work and C before I went to bed. I just rotated them sideways.
